| MY 24 HOURS IN NYC |
| To me, the holidays are all about rituals. Making the most of your memories and reliving them with the ones you love. I spent a lot of time in New York City when I was younger, and every chance I get to come back I find myself longing for the comforts of my past. From ice- skating to iced-over bridges, the best sweets and Santa Claus sightings, here is my ideal 24 hours in NYC for the holidays. |

Bryant Park
While nothing beats the tree at Rockefeller Center, the ice- skating in Bryant Park is the city's best kept secret. The rink is smaller and more intimate, and it's surrounded by great holiday market full of stands and tents selling everything from small tourist items to original artwork, blown glass and jewelry. It's perfect if you're looking for last-minute items to buy for those hard-to-shop-for people on your holiday list. Click for details ‣

Radio City Music Hall
Nothing says "It's Christmas!" like the Rockettes and The Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Get your tickets in advance, get there early and enjoy hot buttered rum, spiced cider or minty hot chocolates before the show, then grab your popcorn and watch the holidays come to life on stage. Macy's Herald Square
No other windows in the world bring the holidays to life quite like those at Macy's Herald Square. Of course, this is also where you'll find Santa and his elves hard at work in their workshop, so plan to stay a while (and bring your shopping list) when you visit. Click for details ‣

Central Park
One of the most romantic places in NYC is the bridge straight off of Strawberry Fields in Central Park. And it's even more romantic in the snow. It might be cold and decorated in icicles, but catching your reflection in the water below the bridge with the Manhattan skyline as your backdrop will become a picturesque moment you'll never forget. Grab something warm to drink and take a walk through the park for the much-needed quiet time around the holidays. Click for details ‣

Window shopping along
5th and Madison
Nowhere else will you find storefronts more decorated to the nines. Stroll down 5th to see what Henry Bendel, Bergdorf's and Barney's recreate at the top of the season, or waltz past Tiffany's to see how the famous jeweler adorns its iconic blue box at the front of the store. You'll probably even find something precious to buy yourself while you're window shopping. Click for details ‣

Serendipity
Sure, there are plenty of places in NYC to grab a great dessert, but at the holidays my pick is for Serendipity. Cozy up with the other patrons on a cold night, order an overflowing hot chocolate and share some sweets (I recommend the Big Apple Pie). Click for details ‣
